About the idea:

I've always liked the stories about mandrágoras, or mandrake as it is known in english, there is so much magic around this simple plant, which appears in many spanish legends. I specially liked "La Cruz de Santiago" and I've based this work in the song with the same name, by "el Mägo" as always. That's why I included here a sword and a cross, this is a bit different version though. There is no religious meaning at all.

"Shines the iron in her hand, her face bathed in sweat, where the sea remains untamed she will go."

Execution:

Nothing new here, I think I've been using the same old techniques for the last two years, I've just added some details for a better blending and now I don't care so much about color matching since I realised I was heading to a more monochromatic style.
