About the idea

This is the fifth piece of the Elemental Collection, Espíritu, spanish word for spirit or soul. In this case represents light and darkness. It is dual.

Execution

Some months ago I posted a tutorial about light, how to get started in light effects using Photoshop, that was the base for this work, this piece is about lightning. But after the basic step (rays of light) comes a more advanced phase, ambiental light and reflection. The light comes through the windows from the left and behind, hits her arm, her dress, the wall in the right side and "bounces" spreading in all directions, creating a very nice visual effect. This is effective in a reduced space, you can see a little amount of light reflected in the left wall, and even in the top of the scene, very subtle in this case, could have been stronger.

Blending was a little easier, when you have decided where the lights and shadows should be, then you can take any image and make it match the background, the hard part is the decision, and studying how the light should look at the end.
